This is considered one of the oldest handicraft activities in Ourtzagh area in the foot of Rif mountains notably in Taounate province. β£
It reflects the lifestyle of the population, as it is considered the main source for income for a certain group of people who devote themselves to making these palm crafted objects which they sell at the weekly souk. β£
Si Mohamed Lahlimi, is the only palm crafter from Onsar village who is still weaving these palm products. He inherited this craft from his father when he was child. He is a very talented man in making many palm products: hast, shopping bags, shoulder bags, handy bags, rolling couscous plates…β£
Meet him on tour with us or combine with one of our other eco activities in the area.
